Canada has a local ecosystem of machine tool manufacturers, but more than half of its machinery consumption comes from imports, creating opportunities for new international suppliers.
The strong presence of aeronautical manufacturers, defense companies, automotive suppliers and advanced manufacturing companies demands increasingly sophisticated solutions in machining, automation, digitization and smart production, areas where Basque machine tools have a competitive advantage.
This scenario, together with Canada’s policy of rapprochement with Europe, with the aim of reducing its dependence on the US, creates an environment full of potential for Basque companies.
